Somewhere in Rizal Province, Mr. Carpio bought a subdivision lot because of the fresh air and the nice hilly surroundings in the area. The development was also good and there were no problems with the documents. Then one day, after the heavy rains, a landslide covered his and some other lots. Fearing for his lot, Mr. Carpio wanted a refund for his payment. The developer had no cash then, but they attended to his request and suggested to choose another lot instead, to which Mr. Carpio agreed.
